ok so like in this one you can kind of see how in the page on the right i mention a bunch of artworks ive created and shit, these are for a project i worked on, the scarf happened to also fit into that project really well so i kind of fed 2 birds with 1 scone in that way which was really cool
but yeah you can also see how i originally designed an upside down cross into the scarf as well, that didnt end up making the cut, it felt a little corny no lie.
theres also the draft for a campaign i made for CHOE on the left page. but yeah i also got the notes on like how i wanted choe to be either metallic or white, just annotations on the color pallet in general
ok funnily enough you can also see some designs i made for another CHOE campaign on this spread as well, im working hard for you dont take my shit for granted. took me like 3 days to make that campaign too like i worked sososo much on it real talk.
here i was kind of finalizing some stuff in terms of the scarf design; ive got the length written down, 3.25m, and i was also trying to calculate what the final length would be after sewing the two pieces together and insuring the edges so that they wouldnt frail, ended up coming up to around like 3.15 which is like, like its good still.
on the right page you can also see my about me where i write "im an artist from greece i do what i want" haha
once i finished making these initial mockups of how i kind of want to present the scarf i then went on to making some like sketches of how it would be worn.
i dont know why the figure i drew i shirtless, thats just the headspace i was in. i love how i did the letters on this though, i like just used the fat ass posca marker and drew like, around them to have the blank shit as the letters yeah, you can kind of tell on the E in CHOE in this one, maybe like on the O too its kinda obvious, but i think it kind of adds character to the sketch, i fuck with it.
yeah nah i did this with a bunch of like, sheets of tracing paper, so i did one with like a thin silver posca marker, then like another one with an inital sketch of the figure, theres 4 in total, the fourth one being the scarf.
i kind of just wanted to work out my concept in a different way, because all my sketches have like the same character in a way, like iconographically they are mad similar, and this is like, not something groundbreaking for me, but definitely something that like i have never implemented in my creative process before, as a technique you know.
after finishing with all that i went on to the actual like practical part of the creation. i laid the two pieces of fabric down, measured them to double check the 3.25m length i had got earlier and started laying down tracing paper.
see thing is, where i was going with this is that i would draw CHOE over them, to see how it would fit, and then i would measure how long and tall the letters ought to be, so i could then make the stencil for them. ok so it took me like deadass an hour to lay all the tracing paper on the fabric, i had to make sure they well aligned with one another, tape them to the fabric and to each other like it was a mess my knees were achingggg unbelievably that shit was excruciating.
this is a little close up, its not that close up actually thats my bad on that.
you can see the shoe print from my boots, i was wearing the ricks, the rick x doc collab, not the 2026 one though the previous one, so like the hollywood one, i dont remember if it was an official part of that collection, shoutouts that collection though i got a coat from that as well, shoutouts to liam from selfridges as well bro got me a good deal on that shit.
the part where i got like the crosshatching on that left section on E im basically just adjusting the length, coz that shit was too long, and you know they have to be the same length.
thing is too, that fabric, they dont make it anymore, its from a factory that doesnt exist anymore, so its kind of one of one.
omg this is so cool this is like a panoramic collage haha yeah well i didnt take a full picture of the scraft so i was like fuck it imma just stick these two together. i think it looks sick like i like it.
ok i know its crooked and shit but see the vision you know. when i got to that point of like having laid out and annotated everything i was like damn im so professional like this is real this is big, and you know, im just starting my career, im just starting making and posting shit so it kind of is the first like tangible product that ive ever made, even though this version isnt for sale because that fabric dont be getting made anymore, and i wanna keep it as a memento.
i see a lot of people and like "instagram brands" and like they just outsource shit to manufacturers and just make like, zipups and hoodies and shirts, idk i cant say i love that. in my mind its no better than those people that like try to get rich off dropshipping, its microtrend clothing, its purely commercial it doesnt really seem creatively motivated, and maybe thats because it adhears to like the algorithm on either tiktok or instagram etc and im not looking into it enough or not giving these people the benefit of the doubt enough but i just dont fuck with that shit. blah blah blah holy yap
ok so here is basically where i just put the measurements i got down from the thing with the tracing paper onto my sketchbook.
even though i was mad tired from kneeling for like an hour i managed to use my head, coz thing is i measured the length of C to be like 71cm and H 66, and i was like wait shit, maybe they should the same length like fuck.
So then i changed that, same thing for the height, i tweaked them all to be 24cm, for H though i did note that like the two ||'s should maybe be like +-0.5cm to kind of play into that thing of like, trashy messy shit.
this is a cute photo, my sketchbook, thas where i got the dimensions for the letters, my white posca with which i did the letters, airpods, powerbank and the tracing paper. what i basically did was, after sewing the two pieces together, i laid my tracing papers back in place as they where, to map out the location and spacing of the letters.
after setting everything in place, i got a big ruler, i got down on my knees, laid on the floor and started measuring. i was actually pretty on point i wont lie, not to stroke my own cock you know.
the only challenge i would say i faced was with keeping everything in line, since like, as i was sitting on the fabric, it was easy for me to twist and bend it, and mess up the alignment, but i got the heights and lengths to be really precise in the end.
ok this picture got some weird perspective excuse me on that pardon me, but, you can kind of see what i was talking about in the previous picture, i mapped out the dimensions of the letters, so you can see C, H, O and part of E. theyre really geometric, square, but this was just to get an idea of how far they should stretch, the distance they should have from one another and everything you know.
then i started drawing on it, took foreverrrr, and matter of fact, i hadnt really eaten that day you know, so i was hungryyyyy, i was dehydrated, i felt like i was going to pass out i was sooo dizzy, shoutout this one girl bless her heart she offered to buy me some food.
i spend the rest of the night working on the writing, in the end i think i got it, i finished at last at like 3:00am like just drawing on it with a white posca marker, and you know, you draw on fabric, its absorbent, so that shit is i had to go over it so many times, and it still didnt come out fully opaque. yeah, you could argue thats part of the aesthetics, that definitely is what i told people as i finished it when they commented on the writing, and it was like 70% truthful so i didnt feel too bad about it, but i wish i had like a spray maybe, a thinker marker, more markers? idk really, im not goin lie
omg vulture type shit hahahah nah man kill yourself. ok well, this is just the best picture i have of me wearing it at the moment so you gotta deal with what you got yeah? i kind of just wanted to show its size in this picture, its long as fuck, ended up coming to 3.20 meters in length, super wide as well. you can see the letters in this picture as well, i was wondering, you know i would like for them to be a little thicker, a good amount actually, i dont know in the end, this is just a prototype you feel me, maybe some more variations in width to kind of accentuate that hastily tagged feeling you get me.
this was taken at the studio in my school, shoutsout, this where shit happened, this and back at my house, sewing shit, painting, anything, everything. had a classmate take this picture shoutouts to her to.
